Selling your used equipment to Andertons Music Co. is a sustainable, hassle-free way to turn unwanted equipment into cash, without the hassle of online marketplaces, which can be time-consuming and problematic. Our team of specialists is dedicated to offering fair pricing based on years of experience selling used equipment.
Terms & Conditions
Please read our terms and conditions below to ensure you are satisfied when selling your item(s) to us. Please read this information in full to avoid receiving a price different from the one initially offered, which could even prevent us from accepting the goods.
Prices given are on the assumption that the goods are:
Complete
Prices assume the goods are complete with the original box (not needed for guitars, amplifiers, or drum products) and accessories, including the original gig bag or case. Any missing accessories or packaging may reduce the price offered.
Any extra non-original accessories provided with the goods (e.g. gig bags, tuners and flight cases) may be considered when deciding on a final price. We will only purchase goods that require a software license to function fully if the software is transferable to the new owner. Please provide proof that the software manufacturer has carried this out before you send the goods to us or bring them to our store. If you are unsure of how to transfer your software license, please contact us, and we can assist you.
In Full Working Order
We will not consider goods that are partially working, missing accessories or components required to function, or damaged in a way that could lead to further issues. Andertons Music Co. will not be liable for any costs if your items develop a fault in our possession.
Yours To Sell
The goods are legally yours to sell and are free from any undisclosed charge or encumbrance, such as loans or hire-purchase agreements.
Other factors to consider
- We reserve the right to reduce the amount offered if the goods' condition differs from what is described when completing the contact form.
- Customers must present a photo ID when visiting the store.
- Our product specialists will test the goods within 48 hours of their arrival at our store to ensure they are fully operational. We are unable to accept products that cannot be tested in-store (e.g. items requiring USA-to-UK voltage converters, electric guitars missing pickups or amps/cabs missing speakers)
- Goods that pose a hygiene risk must be cleaned before being brought to the store (e.g., in-ear monitors or headphones). Goods that emit odours due to being stored in an unsuitable or smoke-free environment may also be subject to a price reduction.
- Valve amplifiers over 5 years old will need a service receipt dated within the past 2 years from the date of your enquiry.
- Any maintenance work needed on your instrument (e.g., guitar setup issues) may also reduce the price offered, especially if the guitar strings are old or unplayable. We will deduct the cost of replacement strings from the amount offered.
- You must cover any return carriage fees (£25 per parcel) and accept full liability for the goods if you do not wish to proceed with the transaction. This also applies if we cannot accept the goods. Alternatively, you can collect the goods from our store, or have a representative collect them on your behalf with written permission and proof of identity.
- Any valuation given is only an estimate and is subject to change. All prices given are valid for 14 days only.
- All payments are made via bank transfer to UK-registered accounts within three working days from the transaction completion date. You may pay only if the payee's name and payment details match those on their Andertons account.
- By accepting our offer and receiving payment, you confirm that you relinquish all ownership and claims to the item. We will not accept returns or buy-backs once we have paid.
